R.I.P. MEGAUPLOAD?

One of my two primary file sharing sources has been taken down and may never return.  Megaupload was shut down earlier today by Federal Prosecutors for "costing copyright holders more than $500 million in lost revenue" according to The New York Times.

A few hours later, a group of "hacktivists" known as Anonymous attacked the following websites: Department of Justice, Universal Music Group, the Recording Industry Association of America, and the Motion Picture Association of America with a trick called "distributed denial of service".  DDoS brings a torrent of traffic and temporally crashes the website and is completely legal.  Anonymous tweeted "One thing is certain: EXPECT US! #Megaupload".

I didn't think that each side of the SOPA movement were at such high boiling points, but I can't wait to see the next move; I feel like a family having a picnic during the battle of Bull Run.
